Extraction Method: Steam distillation from the fragrant flowering blossoms of the Seville orange tree.
Scent Profile: Neroli is intensely floral, citrusy, sweet and exotic. The scent is wonderful, very sweet and orangey, with a bitter undertone.

IN SKIN CARE

Treats cuts and wounds: Neroli can be used as a temporary anti-tetanus remedy during an emergency. By dabbing a diluted solution on the wound, this will help keep the wound safe from infections.

Fades scars and spots: One of the most popular properties of Neroli essential oil is its ability to care for the skin. It makes the skin smooth, free from infections and adds a glamourous flow. It also helps to maintain the right moisture and oil balance in the skin.

  • How to use for face care
    Add one drop of essential oil to one dollop of your face cream or lotion and apply every two days. Do not be tempted to add more oil. Higher doses do not work better than regular applications.
  • How to use for body care
    Use no more than 4 to 5 drops for every 5ml of body lotion or carrier oil. Apply the mixture all over skin and pat dry or allow full absorption.

Lowers blood pressure: A study in 2012 showed that participants who inhaled an essential oil blend which consists of Neroli had a significant decrease in their blood pressure and stress hormone cortisol levels.

BLENDS WELL WITH

Neroli essential oil blends particularly well with all citrus oils. It also mixes well with the essential oils of Geranium, Lavender, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Rosemary and Sandalwood.

CAUTION/SIDE EFFECTS

There are no inherent threats of using Neroli essential oil. You should avoid using it when you need to concentrate on something or if you want to avoid sleep, due to its strong sedative nature.
