Optimising Diffusion and Longevity

Hot dry weather, air-conditioning, drafts, seasonal changes, and the number of reeds used are factors that affect the diffusion strength and rate. Keep out of strong sunlight or direct air-conditioning drafts to reduce rapid evaporation. For
optimal performance, fibre reeds should be replaced every 2–3 months. Rattan reeds should be replaced every 2–4 months.

Typical lifespan

60ml – around 1 month
150ml – approximately 2 to 3 months
450ml – about 6 to 9 months

Note

Insert 5–9 new reed sticks into the diffuser and allow up to 24 hours for the diffusing oil to be fully absorbed. Using more reeds will create a stronger scent throw but will also cause the diffuser oil to be consumed more quickly.
